Major Young (34), IT Coordinator/Community Outreach, a
member of Carpenters Local 1004, received a special award of
thanks from the City of Lansing for saving a young child from
a railroad accident. He is also a photographer, artist and
music producer. One of Young’s pieces of art hangs in Otto

Lansing Community College this fall to receive an Associate’s

company as a Information Technology Support Specialist II.
Young has an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science and
Computer Support Technician from LCC and will be re-
enrolling in the fall to pursue a 2nd degree in Web site design.
